Election day in Georgia could be a stormy one, according to the National Weather Service, especially in the northern half of the state.
"The risk for strong to severe thunderstorms remains beginning during the early morning hours on Tuesday, November 6th in Northwest Georgia and transitioning southeast through the day," according to a posting on the NWS Peachtree City Facebook page. "Damaging wind gusts and brief tornadoes remain the primary expected severe threats."
The greatest risk is along and north of a line from Columbus-to-Macon-to-Augusta.
