One person was killed in a motorcycle versus car accident in Lumpkin County Thursday.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said Donald Gregory Kurfiss, 62, from Groveland, Florida was operating his motorcycle on State Route 11 around 11 a.m. when he lost control of the bike, crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car.
The car was driven by Vinai Wu, 51, Buford. The report from the Georgia State Patrol did not indicate whether Wu suffered injuries.
The statement from GSP said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the fatal accident.
