Two Hall County Commissioners have announced they will be seeking another term.
District One Commissioner Kathy Cooper and District Three Commissioner Scott Gibbs announced their plans to seek re-election at the end of the commission's Thursday voting session. Cooper said
"It was an easy decision for me to make, and four years ago I don't know that I would have thought I would do it," Cooper said. "But I think you learn a lot, and even though the decisions are hard, I think somebody's got to do it."
Gibbs said he feels that the commission has a good working relationship and he wants to continue the current direction of the county.
"I enjoy serving with these folks, I enjoy serving the people of Hall County and I think that we've got a lot of exciting projects coming up," Gibbs said. "I'd like to do a continuation of what we've been doing."
The two seats occupied by Cooper and Gibbs are the only seats up for election in 2018. The election will be held in November.
