Inspired by a number of area children and their families battling a childhood cancer diagnosis, BGW Dental Group joined with its patients to make a difference, donating $4,135 to CURE Childhood Cancer.
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, BGW offered patients custom take-home whitening trays with a $75 donation to CURE, the Atlanta-based nonprofit that funds research into therapies and drugs for childhood cancers. The trays normally cost $350.
“There are few things more heartbreaking than knowing there are so many children in our community battling cancer,” said Cindy Fulenwider Greene, DMD, a partner at BGW Dental Group. “Their courage and smiles through adversity inspire us, so this fundraiser seemed like a perfect way to honor them.”
