Braselton planning board to consider applications for housing development, warehouse-distribution facility

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

The Braselton Planning Commission is scheduled to consider plans for a residential development and a warehouse-distribution facility later this month.

Embry Real Estate Partners, LLC, is requesting that about 63 acres be annexed and rezoned for the 236-unit single-family housing development in the Ga. 124/Davis St. area.  The application calls for both attached and detached units.

Adair Realty, Inc., wants to build the warehouse-distribution center on Josh Pirkle Road and is requesting the annexation and rezoning of 390 acres.  Plans call for up to 2.8 million square feet of warehousing and distribution facilities on the site.

The planning commission meets January 22 at city hall in Braselton.
