FLOWERY BRANCH — Peachtree Ridge spoiled Senior Night at the Branch on Thursday.
The Lady Lions knocked off the Lady Falcons in four games 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18 in the best-fo-five matchup.
Senior middle blocker Anna Marshall paced Flowery Branch with 13 kills, 1 solo block, and 2 block assists. Senior libero Ellie Luciani had 16 digs, 4 assists, and 1 ace, and senior defensive specialist Madison Myers added 11 digs and an ace.
Flowery Branch travels to Cedar Shoals on Tuesday night to close out the regular season in Area 8-AAAAA play before the Area Tournament at Loganville next week.
EAST HALL GETS NON-AREA SWEEP
East Hall won a pair of tough non-area matches on Senior Night Thursday at home.
The Lady Vikings (24-14) defeated Hart County 25-10 and 25-19 and the held off Stephens County 25-12, 24-26, 25-19 on Senior Night.
Niyah Rucker had 7 points scored on serve with 2 aces, 12 digs, 7 blocks and 26 kills and Savannah Thellman had 4 points scored on serve with 2 aces, 8 kills, 26 digs and 48 assists for East Hall. Holly Poole had 15 points scored on serve with 4 aces, 21 digs and 16 kills, Summer Lindsey had 21 points scored on serve with 1 ace, 1 assist and 47 digs, and Tessa Rider scored 4 points on serve with 1 ace, 28 digs, 1 block, 4 assists and 12 kills for the Lady Vikings.
Janelly Lara scored 11 points scored on serve with 3 aces, 2 assists and 22 digs, Macy Thomas added 6 kills and 1 block, and Sarah Salyers scored 3 points on serve with 2 digs for the Lady Vikings.
East Hall play next at Monroe Area on Saturday.
