The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has voted unanimously to retain Central EMS as the emergency medical services provider to the county.
Pending final contract negotiations, Central EMS will provide service for one year beginning January 1, 2018, with the option for five additional one-year renewals. Central EMS is Forsyth County’s current provider of emergency medical services and has served in that capacity since January 2016.
The new contract will add an additional ambulance within the county bringing the total to eight ambulances with the option to add additional ambulances if call volume increases.
