DEMOREST — The Piedmont men's soccer team returned to action under the lights at Walker Athletic Complex Wednesday claiming a 1-0 victory over Sewanee thanks to Chase Kane's goal in the 88th minute. The Lions have posted back-to-back 1-0 victories after taking down N.C. Wesleyan Saturday by the same score.
The Lions capitalized on their final opportunity at the net after outshooting the Tigers 12-6 with both teams putting three shots on goal. Elliott Sailes made three saves in the contest while Sewanee's keeper made a pair of saves.
Kane's goal came off an assist from Brandon Ramos as Ramos recorded his second assist of the season while Kane recorded his third goal of 2017.
