COAL MOUNTAIN — North Forsyth held Loganville to just 39 total yards offense in the second half as the Raiders overcame a halftime deficit to knock off the Red Devils 24-17 Friday night at Raider Valley.
The Raiders (2-1) tailed 17-7 in the second quarter before they started to take control.
Tristan Howard scored his second touchdown of the night on a 53-yard catch to cut the lead to 17-14 by halftime. Cedric Touchstone gave them the lead for good in the third quarter with an 18-yard scoring run.
Senior Arthur Boyzo booted a 20-yard field in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring. The kick, his 13th, set a new school record for field goals in a career for the Raiders.
North Forsyth was able to overcome four fumbles lost on the night by the work of its defense. Senior quarterback Ben Bales finished 16-for-23 for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Howard had 3 catches for 82 yards the two scores and Touchstone had 6 receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown.
