DAWSONVILLE — Dawson County surged past Chattooga for a 29-14 victory on Friday in Dawsonville.
The Tigers (2-0) were led by quarterback Coey Watson, as the senior completed 6 of 10 passes for 156 yards and two scores while also rushing six times for 42 yards. Watson hooked up with Ryan Glass for both touchdowns, catching two passes for 38 yards.
Dawson's SeVaughn Clark also rushed 18 times for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
The Tigers have a bye next week and will play host to West Hall on Sept. 15.
