With a few days already under their belt, most schools in northeast Georgia are settling in for the new year, and, as they do, colleges and universities in the area are gearing up for a new academic year.  In fact, the Fall Semester at one of them, Piedmont College in Demorest, started Wednesday.

Elsewhere, classes start at Brenau University August 28 and August 21 at the University of North Georgia and Lanier Technical College.   Freshman move-in day at Brenau is August 23.

Among other colleges and universities in northeast Georgia, classes resume August 16 at North Georgia Technical College and Truett-McConnell University in Cleveland; August 21 at Toccoa Falls College; August 14 at Georgia Gwinnett College and the University of Georgia; and, August 15 at Young Harris College.
