A student athlete from Parkview High School in Gwinnett County has died after collapsing at a club soccer practice on Friday.
Atlanta TV stations reported on Sunday that 16-year-old Michael Jones was warming up with his team - Atlanta Fire United - when the coach noticed the teen acting strange. Bystanders performed CPR on Jones until an ambulance arrived. Jones died Saturday at Northside Hospital Forsyth.
The practice took place at Windermere Park in south Forsyth County.
Jones' coach told Fox 5 news he was unaware if the student had any underlying health issues that might have contributed to the death.
The teen would have been a junior at Parkview this year.
