Drug-related SWAT operation in Statham nets 3 arrests

A monthslong drug investigation culminated Thursday afternoon with a SWAT operation and 3 arrests in Statham, authorities said.

The action unfolded around 2:00 p.m. at 462 Wall Road, according to Barrow County Sheriff's Captain Ryan Sears.

2 of the suspects, Christopher Michael Jones, 42, and Michael Lamont Hendricks, 41, were arrested for alleged drug activity.

Jones was charged with multiple counts of selling methamphetamine. Hendricks faces the same charges as well as sale of heroin and marijuana.

"The Barrow County Sheriff's Office will not tolerate this type of activity within our county," Sheriff Jud Smith said in a media release. "We will continue to investigate and apprehend any individual who is a threat our community and the citizens of Barrow County."

A third suspect, Jonathan Paul Rossano, 32, was charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement and violation of probation.

All 3 men are Statham residents, according to Sears.
