DAHLONEGA — University of North Georgia head women's soccer coach Chris Adams has announced the 2017 schedule of matches as his squad looks to build upon the program's first-ever Sweet 16 appearance last season. The schedule is headlined by seven home matches, five of which are Peach Belt Conference contests.

Last year, the women's soccer team finished 15-3-3, including a 9-1-2 record in PBC play. The Nighthawks went all the way to the PBC Championship game for the third consecutive year and hosted their first ever NCAA tournament game at the UNG Soccer Complex.

The season kicks off on September 1 with three games away from Dahlonega, starting with two games at Lee, one against the host school and the second against Mississippi College. After a matchup with West Georgia on September 6, the Nighthawks will open up home play with a 1 p.m. kickoff against Florida Tech.

UNG will open PBC play in Milledgeville against Georgia College on September 16 before taking on Columbus State in Columbus on September 20. The PBC home schedule begins with a September 23 matchup against Francis Marion.

After the Battle of Blood Mountain match against Young Harris, the Nighthawks start a three-match homestand with Flagler on September 30. UNG finishes out the home slate of games with a 3 p.m. match against UNC Pembroke on October 21 before the final regular season game against Clayton State on October 25.
