Flowery Branch woman allegedly fired at car, struck victim in leg

A Flowery Branch woman remained behind bars Monday afternoon, accused of shooting one person and firing a gunshot at another.

Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said the victims were on Tulip Drive, when Tosha Monique Bailey, 33, allegedly shot one female victim in the leg last Tuesday.  It happened during an argument at the location off of Floyd Road.

"That person was in a car.  There was a second person in the car, and Bailey also shot at the second person, but struck the car and not the person, so there's two victims in this case," Ware said.

Bailey was arrested on Friday, charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

The female who suffered the gunshot was hit in the knee area.

"She underwent medical treatment, and I believe surgery.  She has since been released (from the hospital)," Ware said.

He didn't immediately know what the initial argument was about or if Bailey knew the victims.

A bond hearing for Bailey is scheduled for Friday.  Ware said the case remains under investigation.
