Gainesville Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning, and are looking for the suspected shooter.
According to Sgt. Kevin Holbrook, officers responded to the Lenox Park Apartments at around 7:30 am, where they found an adult male with a gunshot wound in the abdomen. Holbrook said the victim was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in stable condition with what was described as non-life threatening injuries.
Holbrook said the incident is not believed to be a random crime, saying that the victim and the suspect are known to each other and that the incident is being considered domestic related.
The names of the victim and suspect are not being released at this time.
Authorities are continuing to search for the suspect, and the case remains under investigation.
