A Hall County teacher has become the 13th teacher to be recognized by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) in a campaign to promote exceptional teachers.
Marla Lear, who teaches at World Language Academy in Flowery Branch, was called a "World Changer" in a video released by GOSA on Tuesday.
“I get to challenge my students in their learning and in their personal growth,” said Lear in a statement.
“Every day I strive to build positive learning experiences for my students, encouraging them through their learning. I tell them that ‘you are future world changers, future leaders, innovators and achievers,’ and I believe in them. I am a teacher, and I am a world changer.”
The video is part of the "Real Teachers Real Voices" campaign, which seeks to put the spotlight on "exception educators around the state," according to a press release.
