A Gainesville attorney, Lee Parks, is one of only two Georgians on this year's list of Lawyers of Distinction which was announced recently.
Membership is limited to the top 10% of attorneys in the United States, according to a Lawyers of Distinction news rerlease, which goes on to say members are accepted based upon an objective evaluation of an attorney’s qualifications, licenses, reputation, experience, and disciplinary history. The group's website says candidates for selection are identified by nomination or by the Lawyers of Distinction organization directly. Nominations are accepted from members of Lawyers of Distinction, fellow attorneys and current or former clients.
Parks is a criminal defense attorney.
He and Thelma Wyatt Moore, a personal injury attorney in Atlanta, are among more than 150 lawyers nationwide chosen as Lawyers of Distinction this year.
