Golfers raised about $48,000 last Saturday during the Jeffrey Dallas Gay Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament.
136 golfers raised the money for two local organizations, the Think About It campaign and We Care. It was at Apple Mountain Golf Club in Clarkesville.
First place prize went to John Wright, Jeff Waggoner and JP Kircher. Their names will be engraved on a trophy that will stay on display at Mellow Mushroom of Gainesville.
40 volunteers also turned out for the event.
