The Region 8-AAAAAA All-Region team was announced last week with Winder-Barrow sweeping the top coaching and player honors for the season.
The Bulldoggs won the regular season and were nationally-ranked for most of the season before getting upset n the second round of the Class AAAAAA playoffs last week by Richmond Hill. They also picked up five first-team selections.
Gainesville, which finished second in the region, picked up the next-most honors with five first team selections as well. The Red Elephants were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs.
