BROOKLET — North Hall continued its Road Warrior ways Friday pulling off an impressive two-game sweep of Southeast Bulloch in the second round of the Class AAA baseball playoffs.
The Trojans (23-11) knocked off the Yellow Jackets 11-4 in Game 1 and then closed out the best-of-three series with a 5-1 victory in Game 2.
In the first game, the two teams were tied 1-1 after the fourth inning. But North Hall used a four-run fifth to grab the lead and exploded for six more runs in the final two innings to pull away for the big win.
Game 2 was similar to the first one with the teams tied at 1-1 heading to the bottom of the fifth. The Trojans scored four times again to take the lead and then held off the Yellow Jackets (18-9) over the final two innings.
The Trojans next will take on the winner of the Appling County-Ringgold series next week in the quarterfinals.
