Girls soccer: Buford rolls into AAAAA 2nd round

BUFORD — The Buford girls advanced to the second round of the Class AAAAA playoffs with an 8-1 rout of North Springs Thursday in the opening round.

The Lady Wolves (14-2-2) got their usual balanced offensive attack with six different players tallying goals.

Cameron Hall registered a hat trick to lead Buford. Ava Sherman, Morgan Smith, Arden Paulino, Julia Lewis, and Angeli Burgos all scored one goal for the Lady Wolves. Sherman had two assists and Smith, Paulino, Kristen Edmond and Maggie Davis each added an assist for Buford.

Buford next will play host to Locust Grove on Tuesday in the Sweet 16.
