DECATUR — The second-ranked Buford girls soccer team edged out fifth-ranked Decatur 3-2 win in overtime on Friday in Decatur.
The Lady Wolves (13-2-2) used two goals by Ava Sherman, including the game-winner in overtime, to make the difference. Arden Paulino also scored, while Morgan Smith provided two assists and Cameron Hall one assist.
The win closed out the regular season for Buford.
The Region 8-AAAAA champion Lady Wolves will play host North Springs in the first round of the state playoffs at 6 p.m. Thursday.
