Lacrosse: RMA fights back to beat River Ridge

WOODSTOCK — The Riverside Military lacrosse team defeated River Ridge 16-14 in a come-from-behind victory on Tuesday in Woodstock.

The Eagles rallied from four-goal deficits in both the first and second halves, sealing the victory with seven unanswered goals in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles were led by junior midfielder Chase Kaufman, who finished with five goals, senior attackman Jensen Hess, who netted two goals to go along with three assists, and sophomore attackman Max Garcia who scored three goals and added one assist. Senior Captain Gage Roth added two goals; Chris Sweetenburg also scored two goals, and junior Captain Sheymus Maloney added one goal. 

Captain Derek Ferguson also played a key role in the Eagles comeback. Seniors Ivan Pearson and Alex Tabor gave tremendous efforts on the defensive end. Junior goalie Nico DePaoli finished the evening with 14 saves.

The Eagles return to The Castle on April 11 when they host North Springs at 5:30 p.m.
