CLEVELAND — A fire that damaged two apartments displaced about a half-dozen people in Cleveland Sunday night.
The fire, at Blue Ridge Apartments on Bryant Street, was dispatched about 7 p.m.
Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said the occupant of one of the units left a Crockpot on a stove eye unattended and that started the blaze.
All occupants got out of the building prior to fire department arrival.
Pruitt said the fire ended up damaging two units. The American Red Cross was called to assist victims with immediate needs.
Fire units remained on scene for about an hour.
