Lakeshore Mall was sold for an unknown amount of money in an online auction that ended Wednesday.
The identity of the buyer has not yet been released and mall management was unable to be reached for comment.
According to the official listing on the online auction site LoopNet, the starting bid for the 491,000-square-foot mall built in 1968 was $1.75 million. The auction was reportedly kicked off at 1 p.m., with LoopNet saying the bidding ended at 5 p.m.
The mall was sold to Garrison Investment Group in 2010 for $6.5 million dollars. Since purchasing the property, Garrison invested close to $21 million dollars into the mall including the opening of a Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2013.
