Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County Chief Executive Officer Steven Mickens has been awarded the Robert M. Sykes Award for Professional Excellence in the Southeast Region by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Mickens took over the CEO role in 2011 and since then, the BGCHC has grown to include five school sites, one public housing site, and three Club locations, serving approximately 5,600 individuals each year between the ages of 6 and 18 through a diversified list of programs.
“I am humbled to receive such a prestigious award," Mickens said. "It is my honor to serve the youth in Hall County alongside an incredibly supportive and hardworking staff and board of directors. We strive to truly “inspire greatness” in the young people who need us most.”
