Amazon surprised fourth graders at the World Language Academy with a donation of 45 Kids Edition Fire Tablets Thursday.
The Fire Kids Edition tablets support learning in the classroom with kid-friendly and educational apps, according to a press release from the Hall County School System. In addition, a donation of $500 was given to the school to purchase additional content. The devices will increase students’ access to technology and allow them to incorporate new language learning strategies into their daily curriculum, according to the release.
The donation is part of Amazon’s ongoing commitment to giving back in local communities where its associates work and live. Last year, Amazon began operations in a large, new distribution center in Braselton.
