*Jackson EMC recently announced that Cecelia Tatro, a junior at Hall County's Johnson High School, has been selected as a delegate to this year's Washington Youth Tour, June 8-15, sponsed by Georgia's electric cooperatives and organized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.  Three other students from the Jackson EMC service area will also be making the trip.  Click here for information on them.
 
*Flowery Branch High School senior Braden Parks has accepted an appointment to attend the Air Force Academy as part of the class of 2021. 
 
*Evan Smith, 11th grade North Forsyth High School, won 1st place in the High School Division of Georgia Tech’s Inventure Challenge and will compete in the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE) in Alexandria, VA, June 1-3.
 
*A number of Forsyth County students and schools came away winners at two recent Georgia Science Olympiad tournaments.

The top teams at the Forsyth County Elementary Science Olympiad State Qualifier are; Shiloh Point-1st, Vickery Creek-2nd, Chattahoochee-3rd, Daves Creek-4th and Settles Bridge-5th.
