More bones were found, but leads continue to be sparse for Gwinnett County Police as they investigate the death of a man in the Buford area.
The bones, originally discovered near Suwanee Creek between Satellite Boulevard and Buford Highway in July 2015, had been in the area for years, according to Cpl. Deon Washington, Gwinnett Police spokesman.
In a secondary search of the area March 3, four additional bones were discovered, but the Gwinnett Medical Examiner's Office still cannot determine a cause of death for the man, who was between 25-40 years old and 5'3"-5'7" at the time of his death.
"The Medical Examiner is theorizing that the man may have been associated with the contractors responsible for the construction of nearby subdivisions," said Washington in a news release.
Authorities still haven't found any of the man's personal effects, but they have determined that he had several fillings on his teeth, and a root canal had been performed on a tooth on his lower jaw.
A composite sketch of the man was produced in February, but officials cautioned at the time that they don't know for sure the man's skin tone, hair color or hair length.
"We ask that people take a second look at the sketch and report any tips immediately," said Washington.
