An Indiana woman faces charges in Hall County for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old boy while she was in town visiting a friend.
Selena Delatorre is also accused of beating and trying to abandon her childre, leaving them with her friend and saying she didn't want them anymore, according to Deputy Stephen Wilbanks, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
She allegedly used a phone charger cord to beat her two-year-old son, leaving "visible injuries in several locations on his body."
The 12-year-old was not a relative of Delatorre, but did know Delatorre, said Wilbanks. The incidents happened sometime between Christmas 2016 and February 2017.
Delatorre was taken into custody March 2 by Gainesville Police, and booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of child molestation, cruelty to children and child abandonment.
