Tadmore ES student to participate in State Social Studies Fair

A student from Tadmore Elementary School has advanced to the State Social Studies Fair April 22 at Clayton College.
 
Eden Castrejon was a first-place winner at this year's Georgia Council for the Social Studies Regional Social Studies Fair held recently at the University of North Georgia's Gainesville campus, which featured more than 200 participants from 44 county and city school systems in northeast Georgia. The competition was open to grades 5-12.  
 
Seven projects presented from Tadmore were among the regional winners. Nine fifth graders researched and presented the winning projects. The students took home one first place ribbon, three second place ribbons, and three third place ribbons
 
In addition to picking up a first place award, Castrejon was also named one of the Best in Region.
 
Tadmore students participating in the fair, in addition to Castrejon, were:  Second Place Winners: Kalub Head, Aaliyah Godina, Lucas Chastain; Third Place Winners: Kensley Day, Kayley Roberts, and Javier Sanchez.
