Suwanee bar's license renewed after owner catches up on taxes

Vice Bar and Bistro in Suwanee has its alcohol license once again, following a series of hearings before the Suwanee City Council.

The owner, Cordaveious DeShaun Brown, failed to re-apply in time to renew the license before Jan. 1, which meant his application would be treated as a first-time application. At that point, city staff determined that Brown was behind on his taxes, according to Marty Allen, city manager.

"He had to catch up on taxes, and he is now caught up. And it was approved Tuesday night," said Allen.

Vice is located near the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

The business can now sell beer, wine and distilled spirits for on-site consumption, according to city documents.
