GALEO's Community Leadership Program attracts record number of applicants, many from Hall

The Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials' Community Leadership Program has attracted a record number of applicants this year, many of them from Hall County.

There were applicants from 14 counties, according to a GALEO press release, with the largest number coming from four counties:  Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb, and Hall.  The program is part of the GALEO Institute for Leadership, 

The seminars are open to all persons, regardless of their racial or ethnic background.  The men and women making up this year's cohort range in age from the late teens to late 40s. More than twelve different nationalities are represented.

An opening reception was held recently in Atlanta, as was the first session.  Monthly sessions will follow.
