CLEVELAND — On an emotional senior day in the Bear Cave, the Truett McConnell men's basketball team used a 47-31 second half to get back above .500 Wednesday night in an 85-72 win over Point University in the final collegiate basketball game in the arena. The Bears are now 15-14 with one game left to play before the conference tournament.

After trailing by three at the half, the Bears came out firing in the second half. TMU started the half on an 11-4 run, punctuated by a David Campbell Jr., dunk that electrified the Bear Cave crowd and gave the Bears a four-point lead.

The Skyhawks were able to keep the game in single digits until the 3:30 mark when the Bears finally got up to an 11-point lead and then did not look back en route to the 13-point win.

Campbell finished with a team-high 22 points, while Tylor Brown and Jacob Booke added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Seniors Brandon Cerezola, BJ Burkett and Darius McNear contributed eight, four and four points, respectively.

The Bears will wrap up regular season play with a 4 p.m. matchup on the road at Bryan College Saturday afternoon.
