Work to replace the bridge that carries State Route 53 traffic over the Chestatee River west of Gainesville will lead to a lane closure during midday today.
Traffic control will consist of flagging operators and will guide traffic around the construction beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m., according to a Georgia Department of Transportation press release. The single lane closure will be in effect beginning at Dogwood Trail and ending at Little Hall Park.
