HOMER — The Banks County girls knocked Class 7A North Gwinnett 55-40 Friday night to capture the Banks County Christmas Tournament Championship.
Allison Smith paced the Lady Leopards (10-3) with 19 points. Jaycie Bowen added 10 points and Amber Williams had 9 points and 11 rebounds for Banks County.
Smith and Williams both were named to the All Tournament Team.
The Lady Leopards are off until next Tuesday when they jump back into Region 8-AA play traveling to Social Circle.
