A former teacher at South Hart Elementary School turned himself in to Hart County authorities this week and has been charged with a second count of child molestation.
Brandon David Cannon, 28, of 1155 Bio Church Road, had been a teacher at South Hart Elementary School.
The second charge is a separate charge and is a result of the continuing investigation, according to Special Agent in Charge Jesse Mattox of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
As with the first incident, there is no reason to believe it occurred on school property or during a school-sponsored event, Mattox said.
Cannon was first arrested on Dec. 5, charged with one count of child molestation at that time.
Both charges are felonies.
