A student who attended Winder-Barrow High School faces a charge for allegedly making what authorities described as a, "credible threat towards the school."
According to a Tuesday Facebook post from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, deputies were notified of the threat, allegedly made by a juvenile male student in a social media post.
"The juvenile was charged, and the threat made will be investigated further through our CID and the Juvenile Court System," authorities stated in their post. "This is to inform our parents and families that we are aware of this threat and it has been addressed quickly and safely."
The sheriff's office did not release the name of the suspect.
