State transportation officials awarded contracts for a roundabout project in Dawson County and resurfacing work in three north Georgia counties this month.
According to a Georgia Department of Transportation media release, the roundabout will go at Ga. 183/Elliot Family Parkway and Georgia 52 near Amicalola State Park. Baldwin Paving of Marietta received the contract for the work scheduled to finish in the first half of 2020.
Officials also awarded contracts for three resurfacing projects in northeast Georgia. The work includes about eight miles of Ga. 323/Gillsville Highway beginning at U.S. 129Athens Highway in Hall County.
C.W. Matthews Contracting will also resurface just over four miles of Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road in Hall and Forsyth counties and eight miles of Highway 20 in Forsyth and Cherokee counties.
The regional work is part of 33 construction contracts for statewide transportation projects totaling $68,720,964.
