Gainesville man arrested for drugs after fleeing traffic stop

A 35 year old Gainesville man has been arrested after drug agents said they found drugs, paraphernalia and guns.

The Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said in a press release that Josheau K. Hester, 35, fled from a traffic safety check point on Saturday at the intersection of Old Cornelia Highway and East Ridge Road.

Agents said they discovered two pounds of marijuana, 32-vials of THC, 14 grams of hash oil, more than 60 ecstasy tablets, a smoking device, a 9mm handgun and more than $6,000 in cash. 

Hester is charged with  possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of MDMA with the intent to distribute, possession of MDMA and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Additionally Hester was charged with multiple traffic offenses including fleeing/eluding, reckless driving, DUI of alcohol, and other charges.

Agents estimate the street value of the seized narcotics was approximately $10,290.00.
