The Region 8-AAAAA All-Region football team was announced with several area players and coaches grabbing some top awards.
The selections were voted on by the region coaches.
First-year Flowery Branch coach Ben Hall was named the Coach of the Year while Falcons senior running back Malik Damons was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Buford senior running back/linebacker Anthony Grany was named the Player of the Year.
