Fourteen floats, two high school marching bands, a color guard, antique cars, dance groups and more than a thousand spectators welcomed Santa as Braselton ushered in the holiday season with its annual parade last weekend.
“Christmas Around the World” was the theme.
Braselton Christian Academy captured the theme award with its “He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands” presentation. The spirit award was granted to Cub Scout Pack 146 as representing the spirit of the holidays with holiday signage in multiple languages. Northeast Church won the blue ribbon award for attractiveness and excellence in craftsmanship.
