GAINESVILLE — The Flowery Branch girls opened their season with an impressive 67-40 win over Chestatee Thursday night.
Caroline Wysocki paced Flowery Branch with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. New Alabama-signee Taniyah Worth just missed a triple double with 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Lady Falcons.
Carly Shaw had 14 points and 7 rebounds, Lexi Sengkhammee had 12 points Aashley Scott 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Ashlee Locke pulled down 10 rebounds for the Lady Falcons.
The loss dropped the Lady War Eagles to 0-2 on the young season.
Lindsey Caudell paced Chestatee with 21 points. Christina Garcia added 9 for the War Eagles.
Chestatee next will take on Osborne on Saturday.
Flowery Branch will play host to Lanier on Saturday.
