Rodney Peters closed out the 2017 racing season at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway in fine form – by winning Saturday night’s Limited Late Model feature.
The Monroe, Georgia speedster beat out Ken Lampp to take the victory. But it wasn’t all bad for the runner-up, as Lampp locked up the division championship for the season.
Rod Roberts followed in third, with Brant Carey in fourth and John Anderson in fifth.
In other action, Andy Barton edged out Duston Cason to score the Hobby feature win. Chad Stinchcomb finished in third, with John Anderson in fourth and Logan Stinchcomb in fifth. Division champion Jerome Hanson finished in sixth.
The Modified Street feature saw a high attrition rate, with only winner Jordan Poole and Wormy Gaddis still running at the end. Jake Hodges, Jimmy Lee Langley and division points champ Aaron Criswell rounded out the top five.
Mark Chancey scored the feature win and the 2017 championship for the Stock V8 division. Ronnie Poole came home in second, followed by Lewis Roberts in third, Trip Sexton in fourth and Trey Pilgrim in fifth.
Shane Peppers took home the Stock 4A feature victory. P.J. Taylor finished in second, with James Gaines in third, Allen Cantrell in fourth and Johnny Hill in fifth. Justin Taylor scored the division championship for the season.
James Robinson was the winner in the Stock 4B feature, with Franklin Sargent in second, Cody Peppers in third and Randall Jenkins in fourth. Elliott Brayboy, the 2017 division champion, finished in fifth.
