A Gainesville man was arrested Friday following a months-long search of his computer.
James Thomas Carpenter, 29, faces a single count of sexual exploitation of a child, but more charges are likely coming, Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said in a phone interview.
Those extra charges stem from "possible" marijuana seized from Carpenter's apartment on Old Hamilton Place. It is still being tested, according to Ware.
During the October 4 search, officials seized two computers from the residence, which yielded pictures and videos of minor children.
Following the search of the devices, deputies issued a warrant for Carpenter's arrest.
Carpenter was booked into the Hall County Jail, and the case remains under investigation.
He has since posted bond.
