The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post Randy Holt abandoned his vehicle in the Talmo Ranch area off Highway 129 after he opened fire on a residence on Barrett Road Sunday afternoon.

No one was injured in the incident, which was at first described by Hall County authorities as a drive-by shooting. Jackson County authorities said they understand that is not the situation. Hall County authorities have not responded to email request for clarification yet.

Holt is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 5'7" tall, weighing 165 lbs. Authorities said Holt should be considered armed and dangerous.
