Winder-Barrow rolls past North Oconee

WINDER — Quarterback Brock Landis ran for one score and threw for two others to lead Winder-Barrow to a 38-0 rout of North Oconee Friday night at home.

The win for the Bulldoggs( 3-2) was their third in four games and gives them some momentum heading itno next week’s Region 8-AAAAAA opener against arch-rival Apalachee.

Landis started things off for Winder capping the opening drive with his touchdown run. He then added a touchdown pass to Casey thurmond in the second quarter.

Jesse Zamora closed the first half with a field goal to give the Bulldoggs a 17-0 lead at the half.

Winder blew the game open with a 21-point third quarter. Landis connected with Javonne Hughes, Sean Rowtham added a rushing touchdown, and backup quarterback Will Sorrells found Noah McDowell for a touchdown pass to close out the scoring for a 38-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
