Jury deliberations began at 11:27 Friday morning in the murder trial of Ofelia Barrera-Rodriguez, the Hall County woman accused in the death of Iris Romero in December 2014.
Court officials with Hall County Superior Court confirmed closing arguments began at 8:30 a.m. Friday and Judge Andrew Fuller charged the jury following closing statements.
The defendant is accused of stabbing Romero to death. Romero was the current girlfriend of the defendant's ex-boyfriend at the time of the crime.
