The Georgia Department of Transportation announced lane closures that will affect I-85 in North Gwinnett.
The first will occur overnight, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Friday between Old Peachtree Road and the I-985 interchange, with one lane closed on the north and southbound side of the interstate.
Crews will continue construction on the I-85 express lanes during that time.
A traffic shift will happen Monday, Sept. 19, through Thursday, Sept. 22, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
During that time, crews will be pacing traffic northbound between Old Peachtree Road and Ga. 20, and southbound between Hamilton Mill and I-985 to allow crews to perform blasting work.
It is possible that entrance ramps from Ga. 20 and Ga. 317 could be blocked during this time until the pacing has passed.
